It's no secret by now that the new OnePlus phones will be equipped with Qualcomm's latest flagship SoC, the Snapdragon 865 along with the Snapdragon X55 modem, which in turn means that the OnePlus 8-series will support 5G connectivity.
Coming straight from the CEO himself, the handsets' prices are expected to climb up, but he also assured fans that the price won't be anywhere near the $1,000 mark. How much will it actually cost, remains to be seen, but with the OnePlus 7 starting at $669, we can expect pricing between $700 and $800 for the 8T Pro.
This is a trend with all flagships launching this year so it doesn't really come as a surprise that the new OnePlus phones will come with a price hike. What we've been able to gather so far, not only are the chipset and the modem more expensive but the antennas add quite a lot too.
In any case, the new OnePlus smartphones are expected to land sometime in April.
