If you have an Android phone running Lollipop or higher, chances are that you may have played around with the Google Assistant before. But if you're Thai, and the only language you speak and understand is Thai, then it may have been a little difficult. Not anymore, however, as you can now set the default Assistant language as Thai.
Google promised that by the end of 2018, they'll be adding up to 30 new languages to the Assistant. So far, the Assistant can understand and reply back naturally in English, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish and now Thai as well.
To switch to Thai or any other language, head over to the Google app on your phone, then Settings > Google Assistant Settings > Devices > Assistant Language > Thai. Detailed instructions can be found here.
Note that as of now, Thai is only available for the Google Assistant on Android. It's not been enabled for Google Home, Allo or even Wear OS just yet, so you may have to wait a bit longer for that to happen.
