Today, Samsung launched two new color variants of the Galaxy S9, called Sunrise Gold and Burgundy Red. Samsung is probably making this move to help boost sales of its flagship handset which have reportedly been less than stellar.
The Sunrise Gold edition of the Galaxy S9 features a satin gloss finish which gives it a “tranquil glow and glimmer.” As for the Burgundy Red edition, it features “one of the deepest red colors” with a restrained gloss for added density thereby giving it a luxurious design.
Samsung has been periodically launching new storage and colors variants of the Galaxy S9 and S9+ to attract new customers. The handsets have not done as well as the company would have liked which is why it is launching new variants from time to time to keep consumers interest alive in it.
Samsung is already offering the Galaxy S9 and S9+ in Midnight Black, Titanium Gray, Coral Blue, and Lilac Purple. Just late last month, Samsung launched a 128GB and 256GB variant of the Galaxy S9 in the United States.
The Burgundy Red edition will be launching in Korea and China first in May, with the Sunrise Gold launching in June in UAE, Australia, Russia, Spain, Taiwan, Chile, Korea, and other markets soon.
