[Rumor] OnePlus 6 Will Have Fingerprint Reader Embedded Under The Display

OnePlus recently released the OnePlus 5T in November and today, there are already rumors about the OnePlus 6. A report published today out of China suggests that the next new build of the phone will be unveiled in the middle of March of next year, with a release at the end of the month. And it apparently will feature a fingerprint scanner embedded underneath the phone's display. 




Samsung tried to get this technology up and running throughout 2017, but it was forced to place the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+ and Galaxy Note 8 fingerprint scanners on the rear of each model.

Almost two weeks ago, Synaptics unveiled a fingerprint scanner for the express purpose of being placed inside the screen. Dubbed "Clear ID FS9500," the manufacturer said that the product was rolling off assembly lines as we were writing the story.

March seems so far away, yet it could arrive with a blink of the eye. And when it does arrive, expect the OnePlus 6 to feature the Snapdragon 845 mobile platform under the hood. We could see the screen remain at 6-inches with the 18:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1080 x 2160. And the thin bezel look of the OnePlus 5T will most likely continue for the OnePlus 6.
