In the recent months, OnePlus keeping up their reputation and providing a good user expirerence and fast updates for their flagship devices. Also, their OnePlus's Open Beta program can be a cool way to experience new features, so long as you don't mind a few bugs.
Today, OnePlus brings Android 8.0 Oreo Beta to OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users before rolling it out to all of its users later in the year.
Here is the changelog :
As a beta build, there are some issues like, some application optimisation issues and the fingerprint scanner will be performing slower than you are used to – for now. Reverting back to the previous Open Beta is a convoluted process, but it can be done while keeping the internal storage data. You can find rollback instructions from OnePlus thread from the source link.
It’s great to see OnePlus increasing dedication in this aspect and that the OnePlus 3 and 3T are still getting so much attention from the company, even after the OnePlus 5 has been released. While the company keeps finding itself embroiled in controversy (and the timing of this update might have something to do with that), we can at least commend their software support efforts. Now it’s time for us to get flashing!
