With all these OEM's launching their new phones like Samsung Galaxy Note 8 and LG unveiling the LG V30 next week, there is only one another flagship which we are waiting for and that is Google Pixel 2. Today, we get a new leaks in which we get to know when they are launching the phone.
According to the famous leaked Evan Blass aka evleaks, Google will unveil both the devices, Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 on October 5. This date lines up with last year’s announcement of the original Pixel handsets which took place on October 4.
Other likely specs of the Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL (not officially-confirmed names) include 5-inch (Pixel 2) and 6-inch (Pixel 2 XL) OLED screens, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, always-on displays, and squeezable frames (a feature borrowed from HTC’s U11 flagship).
No official plans have been announced for the new handsets, but we did anticipate Google would take the wraps off of the new smartphones as well as some other devices later this fall.

Evan Blass also confirms that both of the second-generation Pixels will come powered by the Snapdragon 836 CPU. While this is technically a step up compared to the 835 found in other flagships announced this year, it won’t give either device too much of a lead as far as performance is concerned.Google's second-generation Pixel handsets, powered by Snapdragon 836 SoC's, will be unveiled on October 5th.— Evan Blass (@evleaks) August 24, 2017
