Today, Google is rolling out an minor update to their Google Camera app which adds an new convenient setting for Pixel and Nexus devices. Starting with version 4.3, users can now disable various camera sounds throughout the app.
This option is available in Settings Under ‘General’ tab which is enabled by default and when you will disable it, there will be no longer a sound when tapping the shutter button. Additionally, the timer no longer features countdown beeps. This feature is very common in Samsung devices or in Custom ROMs.
Google Camera is only available for the Pixel and other current Nexus devices. Google stopped supporting and updating the app on other OEM devices in late 2015.
