We got a leak from Evleaks, and this appears in a color we haven’t seen just yet. This is what appears to be a purple color, a color we haven’t seen on a smartphone in quite some time.
However, since the information about the Huawei Mate 9 keep coming through various sources, it makes sense to believe the smartphone's launch is very close.
Other than that, we can also see the phone's dual camera setup on the back, along with a fingerprint sensor positioned below the photo snapper, which by the way, it features Leica lens. A dual-LED flash is placed to the left of the camera as well.
You'll also be pleased to know that Huawei did not dropped the 3.5mm audio jack, which is now located on top of the device. We've also noticed the USB Type-C port on the right side of the phone, along with one of the speakers.
Rumors also claim the Mate 9 boasts a large 5.9-inch display that supports either full HD (1080p) or Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution. Huawei is likely to include its own octa-core Kirin 960 chipset inside, along with 4GB of RAM and enough storage (64GB or 128GB).
A slightly bumped up model might include 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal memory, but this is just a rumor. Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming Mate 9.
