OnePlus 3 launch event is just half a day away as the anticipation for the latest flagship from OnePlus builds up heading to the launch. People from across the globe ranging from prospective OnePlus 3 buyers, tech enthusiasts, OnePlus loyalists to consumers that are looking for a better and affordable option await the unveiling of the device with excitement. The device has been leaked from time-to-time from most clear photos of the actual device to going through shipment export details with keywords “OnePlus” through Zauba.
Amidst all the leaks and speculation regarding the possible configurations and price of the device, the official price for the device along with the configuration was given away by an Indian English-language daily newspaper.
The advertisement, supposed to be published tomorrow was printed today, to be read by hundreds of thousands of readers all across the country. The advertisement puts the OnePlus 3, 6GB RAM variant with 64GB internal storage with a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 to be priced at Rs 27,999 or $417 to be exact. though we aren’t sure about the price of 4GB RAM variant, it is expected to be about Rs. 23999, a bit up or down.
In addition to the device, Saavn music app gives 12 months subscription to Saavn Pro, giving access to unlimited ad-free music and downloads. Idea Cellular, a telecom operator in India is providing 12 months worth of double the amount of data that you would pay for. OnePlus is providing 12 months of accidental damage protection with its device care service ‘OnePlus Care’ and Kindle is providing a promotional credit of Rs 500 with the Kindle app with 12 months validity.
OnePlus is going full out with marketing this time as it does not want to leave any stone unturned with their tie-up with Uber, BookMyShow.com for OnePlus Loop VR Headset and daily giveaways for OnePlus 3 devices through in-app Amazon Quiz, giving out 3 devices each day till the launch. The launch event for OnePlus 3 starts at 10PM (IST), you can experience the launch if you have a cardboard or VR headset and if you don’t have then you can try your luck in getting one by using Uber.
