For now, the Lenovo owned company is soak testing the Lollipop update for the Moto Maxx in Brazil and Mexico, which means that only a small group of testers will be initially receiving the update. As for Moto E, the Lollipop soak test update for the handset is currently being rolled out in Brazil and India.
If Motorola does not find any major bugs with the Lollipop firmware for these devices, it will start a wider roll out within the next few days.
Motorola has already rolled out the Lollipop update for the 2014 Moto X and Moto G (1st and 2nd gen.). The only handset in Moto’s stable that is yet to receive the update is the 2013 Moto X, whose update has been delayed because of the custom “X8 mobile computing system” used by the company on the handset.
